Creamy Shells and Cheese

Ingredients
  

  • 16 oz. small shell pasta
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and place into a large bowl. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add in flour and cook for a minute to brown.
  2. Pour in milk, cheese, salt, pepper, and mustard powder. Cook over medium heat, while whisking constantly until thickened and the cheese has fully melted.
  3. Mix sauce with pasta.
