Creamy Broccoli Mac and Cheese

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz. elbow noodles
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 cups cooked broccoli florets, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta according to package directions, drain. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Cook garlic until fragrant. Whisk in flour, cook for a minute to brown.
  • Pour in milk, cheese, salt, and pepper. Continue to cook over medium heat, while whisking constantly until thickened. Mix broccoli into sauce, mix with pasta.
