In a large bowl, combine the frozen whipped topping and melted chocolate. Spread the mixture into a baking dish. Freeze for at least 4 hours. Cut into squares.
Place the remaining chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl, and heat in the microwave in 30- second intervals, stirring well until it is fully melted and smooth.
Fully coat each cool whip candy into the melted chocolate. Set onto plate, and freeze until set.
