Classic Chocolate Chip Brookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda. Add in melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
  • Pour the brownie batter into a greased 8-inch square baking dish. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In another large bowl, combine butter with both sugars until fluffy.
  • Add in egg and vanilla extract, mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture, mix until it is fully combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Evenly place the cookie dough over the brownie batter. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
