Classic Chocolate Chip Brookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda. Add in melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
  2. Pour the brownie batter into a greased 8-inch square baking dish. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In another large bowl, combine butter with both sugars until fluffy.
  3. Add in egg and vanilla extract, mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture, mix until it is fully combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  4. Evenly place the cookie dough over the brownie batter. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
