Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Christmas sprinkles

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda.
  2. In a large bowl, combine softened butter with sugar until fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
  3. Add in the flour mixture, and mix until a thick dough forms. Fold in sprinkles. Press the cookie dough into a greased square baking dish.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Cut into bars.
