Chocolate Chip Candy Cane Loaf Cake

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup crushed candy canes

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, combine butter with sugar until fluffy. Add in milk and peppermint extract, mix until smooth.
  2. Add in the flour, salt, and baking powder. Fold in the chocolate chips and crushed candy canes.
  3. Pour the cake batter into a greased 9-inch loaf pan. Bake for 45-50 minutes.
