Cherry Cheesecake Brownies

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ( 28 oz.) can cherry pie filling

Ingredients for Brownies

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, with a mixer, beat softened cream cheese with sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder together. Add in melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract, whisk until smooth.
  • Spread brownie batter into a large greased baking dish. Spread cheesecake filling over brownie batter. Drop tablespoonfulls of cherry pie filling over the cheesecake layer, swirl with a knife. Bake for 35-40 minutes.
