Candy Cane Brownies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1/2 cup crushed candy canes

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda.
  2. Add in the melted butter, eggs, and peppermint extract. Whisk until smooth. Fold in the crushed candy canes.
  3. Pour the brownie batter into a greased 8-inch square baking dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
