Cake Mix Red, White and Blue Chocolate Chip Snickerdoodle Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ( 15 oz.) box white cake mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • red and blue food coloring
  • 1 cup chocolate chips, divided
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, mix together cake mix, eggs, and vegetable oil until smooth. In a shallow dish, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Divide the cookie dough into three bowls. Mix one with red food coloring and one with blue food coloring.
  • Mix 1/3 cup chocolate chips into each bowl. Take a small amount of each cookie dough and roll into balls. Roll into the cinnamon sugar mixture. Place cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
