Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease a 9-inch spring form pan and set aside. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, salt and baking powder.
Whisk in melted butter, eggs and vanilla extract. Pour brownie batter into the prepared spring form pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the center comes out clean.
For the cheesecake layer, using either a hand or a stand mixer, beat softened cream cheese with granulated sugar until fluffy.
Add in eggs and vanilla extract, beat until smooth. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer. Bake for another 35-40 minutes.
