Texas Nachos

Ingredients
  

  • 10 corn tortillas
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • salt, to taste
  • 1 ( 15 oz.) can refried beans
  • 1.4 cup salsa
  • 1 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • Pickled jalapeno slices

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a fryer or saucepan to 375 F. Cut tortillas into triangles. Fry tortillas until golden browned and crispy.
  • Drain and season with salt to taste. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Lay the tortilla chips onto a large baking sheet. Heat refried beans in a microwaveable bowl until smooth.
  • Mix salsa into the refried beans. Evenly spread refried beans over the chips. Sprinkle evenly with shredded cheese. Top each nacho with one pickled jalapeno. Bake for 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
