The cookie dough is made from a classic sugar cookie dough. You can either make it yourself, or you can also use a premade cookie dough instead. Roll the cookie dough into 12 even sized balls and place each in a lined muffin tin. Bake for about 15 minutes. Once you remove the cookie cups from the oven, place one chocolate kiss on top of each cookie cup and let cool completely on wire racks.
Sugar Cookie Peppermint Kiss Cups
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- peppermint kisses
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F. Line a 12 cup muffin pan with cupcake liners. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt and baking soda.
- In a large bowl with a mixer, beat softened butter with granulated sugar until fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla extract, beat until smooth. Add the flour mixture in three additions, beating after each until all of the flour is incorporated.
- Roll dough into balls and place each one into a prepared muffin tin. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and place one chocolate on top of each cookie cup. Let cool completely.
