Pizza night is Christmas themed with this cheesy snowman pizza with a homemade pizza dough. The pizza is shaped into a snowman and topped with cheese and sliced black olives. It will make a fun and delicious Christmas themed dinner. You can either make 2 large snowman pizzas, or you can make them smaller for individual sized snowman pizzas. You can top the pizzas with your favorite pizza toppings, like peppers or pepperoni.
You can either make your own pizza dough for these pizzas, or you can use a premade pizza dough instead. Divide the pizza dough into however many pizzas that you want. Divide each piece of dough into three, one larger, one medium and one smaller for the head. Roll out each pizza dough into a circle and place onto a large greased baking sheet. With the larger circle on the bottom, followed by the medium circle, then the smaller. Evenly spread each circle with pizza sauce and top with mozzarella cheese. Top with slices of black olives for the eyes and buttons. Bake until the crust is lightly golden browned and the cheese has fully melted.
Snowman Pizza
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 ( 28 oz.) jar pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- sliced black olives
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine warm water with sugar and yeast. Let sit for 10 minutes. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt.
- Add in yeast mixture and olive oil, mix until a dough forms. Knead dough on a floured surface until smooth. Place dough into a large greased bowl, turning to coat. Cover and let rise for 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 400 F. Deflate dough and divide into 6 equal pieces. Divide each piece into 3 pieces, one larger, one medium and one smaller. Roll out each piece into a circle and place onto a large greased baking sheet with the larger on the bottom, then the medium and small.
- Evenly spread each dough circle with pizza sauce and and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Top with the sliced black olives for the eyes and buttons. Bake for 15 minutes.
