The cookie dough is made like a classic sugar cookie dough, then it is divided into three bowls. One is mixed with red food coloring, one is mixed with blue food coloring, and one is left white. Take a small amount of each cookie dough and roll together into balls. Place onto a large ungreased baking sheet and bake until they are fully cooked through.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- red and blue food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, mix together butter and sugar until smooth. Add in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth. Add in the flour mixture until it is fully combined.
- Evenly divide the cookie dough between three bowls, mix red food coloring into one and blue into another. Take a small amount of cookie dough from each cookie dough and roll together into balls.
- Place onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
