Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies

Classic chewy chocolate brownies with a fun Valentine’s day twist to them. These brownies are made into red velvet brownies and topped with a creamy and delicious cheesecake filling. They have the same delicious chocolate flavor of your classic brownie, but with cheesecake mixed on top of the brownie batter. It is sweet and delicious, the perfect treat to make this Valentine’s day.

The red velvet brownie batter is simple to make, all of the ingredients are whisked together in the same bowl. Red food coloring is added to the batter. For the cheesecake filling, cream cheese is mixed with sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth. Pour the cheesecake filling over the brownie batter and swirl with a knife. Bake until the center comes out clean with a toothpick. Let cool completely before cutting into bars and serving.

Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • red food coloring
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda.
  • Add in eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract, whisk until smooth. Add in red food coloring, and mix until it is fully red.
  • In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese with sugar until fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
  • Pour the brownie batter into a greased 8-inch square baking dish. Top with the cheesecake filling. Swirl the cheesecake filling with knife. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
