Sharing is caring!

Soft and chewy sugar cookies with peppermint flavor, and a crunchy texture from crushed candy canes. These easy cookies are perfect for baking during the holiday season because they are full of delicious peppermint flavor. They are made like a sugar cookie, but with peppermint flavoring and crushed candy canes mixed into the cookie dough. Everyone will love the soft and chewy texture of these cookies and the sweet peppermint flavor.

The cookie dough is made similar to a classic sugar cookie dough. Except that instead of using vanilla extract, peppermint extract is used instead. And crushed candy canes are folded into the cookie dough. The cookie dough is rolled into balls, and placed onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake until the center of the cookies comes out clean with a toothpick. Let them cool completely on a cooling rack before serving.
