Soda bread is a classic Irish recipe that is made with only a few simple ingredients. It is so much easier and quicker to make than other types of bread because no yeast is needed to make it. This Irish soda bread is made cheesy with shredded pepper jack cheese folded into the bread dough. This bread goes perfectly with just about any main meal, from soups and chili to meatloaf or chicken. Serve warm topped with butter.
The only five ingredients that you need for this bread is flour, salt, baking soda, milk, and shredded pepper jack cheese. All of the ingredients are mixed together in a large bowl until it is fully combined. Spread the dough out into a greased round baking dish. Bake until the top is lightly browned and the bread comes out clean with a toothpick.
