Oven Toasted Ravioli

Crispy and delicious ravioli with a cheese filling makes the perfect appetizer for any pasta or Italian themed meal. These toasted ravioli are baked instead of fried, making them healthier by using no oil. They are breaded in a mixture of Italian seasoned breadcrumbs and grated parmesan cheese. Then they are baked until the ravioli are crispy. Serve with either marinara sauce or alfredo sauce for a delicious Italian themed appetizer.
You only need five ingredients to make this easy appetizer. Just a bag of frozen ravioli, one egg, milk, Italian seasoned breadcrumbs, and grated parmesan cheese. The frozen ravioli will first need to be prepared according to package directions. You can also use refrigerated ravioli for this as well. Dip each ravioli into a mixture of egg and milk. Then fully coat the pasta in a mixture of breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese. Set onto a greased baking sheet and bake until crispy.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ( 10 oz.) bag frozen ravioli
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400 F. Cook ravioli according to package directions. In a shallow dish, whisk together egg and milk. In another shallow dish, whisk together Italian breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese.
  • First coat ravioli in egg and milk mixture, then fully coat ravioli in breadcrumb mixture. Place onto a greased baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes.
