Fresh green beans are used for this, along with shredded parmesan cheese. The shredded parmesan cheese works better than grated parmesan, because it melts well onto the beans. To prepare the green beans, they need the ends trimmed off first. Then all you have to do is to mix the green beans with the olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, minced garlic and shredded parmesan cheese. Spread green beans into a baking dish and roast them in the oven until crispy and the cheese has melted.
Oven-Roasted Parmesan Green Beans
Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh green beans
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 F. Trim ends off of green beans and place into a bowl. Mix green beans with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, minced garlic and shredded parmesan cheese.
- Spread green beans out into a baking dish in a single layer. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
