Soft and chewy classic oatmeal raisin cookies topped off with a chocolate kiss. These cookies combines a classic oatmeal raisin with a classic blossom cookie. The chocolate flavor of the kiss goes perfectly with the flavor of the oatmeal and the raisins. These cookies make a fun twist on a classic cookie that everyone loves.

The cookie dough for these cookies is made like a classic oatmeal cookie dough, with the addition of raisins to the dough. The cookie dough is rolled into balls, and placed onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake until they are fully cooked through. Remove the cookies from the oven, and place one chocolate kiss on each cookie. Let cool completely on a cooling rack before serving.

Oatmeal Raisin Blossom Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups quick oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup raisins
  • chocolate kisses

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, oats, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, combine butter with sugar until fluffy.
  2. Add in egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture, and mix until it is fully combined. Fold in the raisins.
  3. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place them onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove from the oven and top each cookie with one chocolate kiss.
