I love soft and chewy sugar cookies, but I also enjoy m&m cookies. These chewy cookies combine a soft funfetti sugar cookie with a classic m&m cookie. To create a delicious treat to enjoy for Memorial day or the fourth of July. These cookies have tons of red, white and blue colored sprinkles all throughout the cookies. With red and blue chocolate m&ms added to the dough. They are great for baking for Memorial day weekend that everyone will enjoy.
The cookie dough for these cookies is made similar to sugar cookie dough. Except red, white and blue sprinkles are folded into the dough along with red and blue m&ms. The dough needs to be chilled in the fridge for at least one hour, so that the cookies won’t spread out as much when baking. You can also freeze the cookie dough, by rolling it into balls and placing the cookie dough into large freezer bags. You can then keep the cookie in the freezer for up to three months, until you are ready to bake. When you are ready to bake, roll the cookie dough into balls and place 2-inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the cookies are cooked through.
