Easy classic meatloaf turned into a fun Halloween themed meal. Crescent roll dough is used to form this delicious meatloaf into a mummy. The dough is wrapped around a meatloaf and baked until golden browned. Make this fun and easy meal for a Halloween themed meal served with all of your favorite side dishes for meatloaf, such as mashed potatoes and your favorite vegetables.

The meatloaf mixture is made just as you would for a traditional meatloaf, with ground beef, breadcrumbs and ketchup. Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place onto a greased baking sheet. Bake until it is lightly browned. Remove the meatloaf from the oven, and wrap thin strips of crescent roll dough over the meatloaf. Bake until the bread is lightly browned.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 can crescent roll dough

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, combine beef with breadcrumbs, ketchup, seasonings, and egg. Form mixture into a long loaf, place onto a baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  • Unroll crescent roll dough and cut into long strips. Remove meatloaf from oven, evenly place strips of dough around the meatloaf in a mummy pattern. Bake for another 15-20 minutes.
