Soft and chewy snickerdoodle cookies filled with lucky charms cereal. It is made like a classic snickerdoodle cookie, except with the addition of lucky charms cereal folded into the cookie dough. These cookies make a fun St. Patrick’s day treat, everyone will love these classic snickerdoodle cookies with a fun St. Patrick’s day twist to them.

The cookie dough is made like a classic sugar cookie dough, except with the addition of lucky charms cereal folded into the cookie dough. The dough is rolled into balls, then rolled into a mixture of granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Place the cookies onto a ungreased baking sheet and bake until they are cooked through.

Lucky Charms Snickerdoodle Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup lucky charms cereal
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, combine butter with sugar until fluffy. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until it is smooth.
  • Add in the flour mixture, and mix until it is fully combined. Fold in the cereal. In a shallow dish, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  • Roll the cookie dough into balls, and roll each one into the cinnamon sugar mixture. Place the cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
