Soft and chewy snickerdoodle cookies filled with lucky charms cereal. It is made like a classic snickerdoodle cookie, except with the addition of lucky charms cereal folded into the cookie dough. These cookies make a fun St. Patrick’s day treat, everyone will love these classic snickerdoodle cookies with a fun St. Patrick’s day twist to them.

The cookie dough is made like a classic sugar cookie dough, except with the addition of lucky charms cereal folded into the cookie dough. The dough is rolled into balls, then rolled into a mixture of granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Place the cookies onto a ungreased baking sheet and bake until they are cooked through.

Lucky Charms Snickerdoodle Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup lucky charms cereal
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, combine butter with sugar until fluffy. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until it is smooth.
  2. Add in the flour mixture, and mix until it is fully combined. Fold in the cereal. In a shallow dish, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  3. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and roll each one into the cinnamon sugar mixture. Place the cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
