The cookie dough is made similar to a classic oatmeal cookie dough, except for the addition of chopped up candy bars folded into the cookie dough. Press the cookie dough into a greased square baking dish. Bake until the center of the cookie bars comes out clean with a toothpick. Let cool completely before cutting into bars and serving.
Leftover Candy Oatmeal Cookie Bars
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup quick oats
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped candy bars
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, oats, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, combine butter with sugar until fluffy. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
- Add in the flour mixture, mix until it is fully combined. Fold in the leftover candy. Press the cookie dough into a greased square baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
