Homemade Olive Garden Breadsticks

Sharing is caring!

Warm and fluffy homemade breadsticks that taste just like Olive Gardens. These fluffy breadsticks are fluffy and topped with a tasty garlic butter after they have baked. They are made with a fluffy buttery yeast dough. I love to make these breadsticks to go along with a meal of spaghetti or pasta. They are buttery with a delicious garlic flavor, they will make a great side dish to any dinner. These breadsticks go great served with marinara sauce or creamy alfredo sauce.

This bread is started with a yeast dough, made by activating dry yeast in warm water and sugar. The mixture should start to foam. Combine flour and salt in a large bowl and pour in the activated yeast mixture and melted butter. The dough is then kneaded until it is smooth and elastic. Place the dough into a large greased bowl, covering with either plastic wrap or a kitchen towel. Let it rise for 1-2 hours, or until the dough has doubled in size.

Once the dough has doubled in size, deflate it and divide into smaller pieces, roll each into a breadstick and place onto a large greased baking sheet. Cover the dough again and let it rise for another 30-60 minutes. Bake until they are lightly golden browned. While the bread is baking, make the garlic butter by melting butter and mixing with salt and garlic powder. While the breadsticks are still hot, brush with the garlic butter.
