Cheesy and creamy alfredo pizza is my favorite pizza to eat. It is even better with a creamy and cheesy homemade alfredo sauce. This sauce makes the perfect alternative to pizza sauce. Although it tastes great on top of pizza, the homemade alfredo sauce is also great with pasta. Topped with tons of shredded mozzarella cheese, this pizza will be favorite for homemade pizza night. Cooked chicken or spinach would also go good with the alfredo sauce on top of the pizza.
For the pizza dough, you can make the dough yourself, you can use a premade crust or dough. For the creamy homemade alfredo sauce, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook garlic in the butter until fragrant, whisk in flour and cook for a minute until it is browned. Pour in heavy cream, grated parmesan cheese and season with salt. Continue to cook the sauce over medium heat, while whisking constantly until it has thickened and is smooth. Spread the sauce evenly over the pizza, just as you would pizza sauce. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese and bake until the pizza dough is cooked through and lightly browned. And the cheese has fully melted through.
