Garlic Parmesan Mac and Cheese

Creamy and cheesy mac and cheese made with minced garlic and grated parmesan cheese. This macand cheese has a delicious garlic and parmesan flavor that goes perfectly together in this creamy sauce. This pasta is perfect for any side dish to go with any main meal. Or even as a main dish served with a side of salad or garlic bread.

The creamy garlic parmesan cheese sauce is made by melting butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Garlic is cooked in the butter until fragrant. Then flour is added for a minute to brown. Milk, grated parmesan cheese, and seasonings are added into the mixture, and cooked, while whisking constantly until smooth and thickened. Mix the sauce with cooked pasta.

Garlic Parmesan Mac and Cheese

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz. elbow pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and place into a large bowl. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add in minced garlic and cook for a few minutes until fragrant.
  • Add in the flour and cook for a minute to brown. Add in milk, grated parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Continue to cook over medium heat, while whisking constantly until it is thickened and smooth. Mix the sauce with the cooked pasta.
