Football Buttercream Truffles

Easy and delicious homemade buttercream truffles covered in melted chocolate chips and decorated with white icing to make them look like mini footballs. Everyone will love these easy no-bake candies for a fun game day dessert or for any other occasion.

The only five ingredients that you need is butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, chocolate chips, and vanilla icing. Mix the butter with the sugar and vanilla until a thick dough forms. Form it into oval shapes and freeze them while you melt the chocolate chips in the microwave until it is fully melted and smooth. Coat each truffle in the melted chocolate and set onto plates. Decorate with the icing into football patterns. Let sit until it is completely set.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3-4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 oz. chocolate chips
  • white icing

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine butter with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until combined. Form the mixture into oval shapes and set onto a plate. Freeze for at least 20 minutes.
  • Place the chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl, and heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well until it is fully melted and smooth. Coat each truffle in the chocolate and set back onto a plate. Decorate with the icing. Let sit until it is completely set.
