This crock-pot Mississippi roast is my new favorite way to east chuck roast. It is so tender and juicy with tons of flavor with almost no prep work. All you have to do is put all of the ingredients into the crock-pot and let it cook slow all day. The result is a tender and juicy chuck roast that you should easily be able to shred with two forks. There are many ways that you can serve this roast, you can eat it by itself, in tortillas or my favorite way to serve it is mixed with egg noodles.
Five ingredients are all that you need to make this delicious comforting meal. Chuck roast is placed into a large greased crock-pot and butter is added on top of it. Evenly sprinkle the roast with both aus jus seasoning and ranch seasoning mix. Place pepperoncinis on top of and around the roast. Cover and let it cook on low for 8-10 hours, or on high heat for 5-6 hours. When the roast is done, it should be fall apart tender.
Crock-Pot Mississippi Roast
Ingredients
- 1 2-3 pound roast
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 ( 5 oz.) packet aus jus seasoning
- 1 ( 5 oz.) packet ranch seasoning
- 8 pepperoncinis
Instructions
- Place roast into a large greased crock-pot. Top with butter and sprinkle with aus jus seasoning and ranch seasoning.
- Place peppercinis on top of the roast. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 5-6 hours.
