Tender shredded chicken and peppers cooked in the crock-pot and topped with cheese. These chicken cheese steak sandwiches are the perfect easy dinner made in the crock-pot. You just put all of the ingredients into the crock-pot in the morning and let it cook all day and it is ready by dinner. The chicken is topped with provolone cheese and served in sub buns for a cheesy delicious sandwich.

The chicken is made in the crock-pot, and seasoned with Italian seasoning. A onion, peppers and chicken broth are added to the crock-pot with the chicken. And cooked on low heat for 8 hours, or on high heat for 4-5 hours. After the chicken is cooked, it should be tender and be easily shredded with two forks. Shred the chicken and mix it with the remaining ingredients. Serve the shredded chicken in sub buns and top with sliced provolone cheese.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound chicken
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 6 sub buns

Instructions
 

  • Place chicken into a large greased crock-pot. Season with Italian seasoning and add in onion and peppers. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or on high for 4-5 hours.
  • Shred chicken and serve on sub buns and top with one slice on provolone cheese.
