Crock-Pot Barbecue Shredded Beef Sandwiches

Tender and juicy shredded roast covered with barbecue sauce makes the perfect summer sandwich. The beef is cooked slow in the crock-pot all day. It is quick and easy to prepare this meal, no need to cook the roast before it goes into the crock-pot. Just season the beef and cover with barbecue sauce. Let cook until tender and can easily be shredded with two forks. It is delicious served on hamburger buns with all of your favorite summer side dishes, such as potato salad or corn on the cob.

The seasoning mixture is made by combining brown sugar with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Place the roast into a large greased crock-pot and rub with the seasoning mixture. Cover with Worcestershire sauce and barbecue sauce. Let cook on low heat for 8 hours, or on high heat for 6 hours. Shred the beef with two forks and serve on hamburger buns.

  • 1 chuck roast
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 ( 15 oz.) bottle barbecue sauce
  • hamburger buns

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and seasonings. Place roast into a large greased crock-pot.
  • Sprinkle seasoning mixture over roast. Add worcestershire sauce, and barbecue sauce.Cover and let cook on low for 8 hours.
