Chicken tacos made in the crock-pot are a great easy to prepare dinner. But instead of traditional shredded chicken tacos, these chicken tacos are seasoned with a slightly sweet and spicy seasoning mixture. And covered with barbecue sauce. These easy barbecue chicken tacos are a great change from traditional tacos for taco night. Serve with cheese, onions or any other of your favorite taco toppings

The seasoning mixture is a mixture of brown sugar, salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika. Place the chicken into a large greased slow-cooker and sprinkle the seasoning mixture all over the chicken. Pour barbecue sauce over the chicken and let it cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours. Shred the chicken and serve it over tortillas topped with all of your favorite taco toppings.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound chicken breast
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • tortillas or taco shells

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika. Place chicken into a large greased crock-pot.
  • Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the chicken and pour on barbecue sauce. Cover and let cook on low heat for 6-8 hours, or on high heat for 3-4 hours. Shred chicken and serve over tortillas.
