Creamy and cheesy homemade shells and cheese. This delicious cheesy mac and cheese are made with small shell pasta mixed with a creamy three-cheese sauce. It takes less than 20 minutes to make this dish, it makes a great side dish for just about any meal. Or as a family-friendly meal served with a side salad.Â
I used small shell-shaped pasta for this dish, but you can use any other small-shaped pasta instead. To make this creamy cheese sauce, butter is melted over medium heat. Add in flour and cook for a minute to brown. Pour in milk and add in all three kinds of cheese, along with the seasonings. Continue to cook the sauce over medium heat until the sauce has thickened and the cheese has melted. Mix with the cooked pasta and serve.Â
