Creamy Pepperjack Penne Pasta

Creamy and cheesy penne pasta with three types of cheese. Pepperjack cheese is added to make it a little bit more spicy. Along with cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Everyone will love this easy and creamy pasta dish for a easy meal served with salad and bread or as a side dish.

The sauce for the pasta is started by melting butter, then cooking flour for a minute to brown. Pour in milk, cheese, and some seasonings. Cook the sauce until it is thickened and all of the cheese has fully melted. Mix the sauce with cooked penne pasta.

Creamy Pepperjack Penne Pasta

Ingredients
  

  • 16 oz. penne pasta
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded pepperjack cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta according to package directions, drain. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.
  • Cook flour for a minute to brown. Add in milk, cheese, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Continue to cook the sauce until it is fully melted and thickened. Mix sauce with pasta.
