Cheesy and delicious chicken parmesan made into an easy pasta casserole. Chicken is mixed with pasta and marinara sauce. All covered with both mozzarella cheese, and grated parmesan cheese, and baked to create a cheesy and delicious casserole that the whole family will love. It is so quick and easy to put this casserole together, serve with a side of salad and bread for a delicious family-friendly meal.
For the pasta, I used rotini pasta but any small-shaped pasta will work for this dish. The pasta is mixed with cooked and diced chicken along with marinara sauce. For the chicken, you can use leftover chicken, or a rotisserie chicken to make this meal quicker. Spread the mixture out into a greased baking dish and top with both mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Sprinkle with dried oregano. Bake until the cheese has fully melted.
Chicken Parmesan Casserole
Ingredients
- 16 oz. rotini pasta
- 1 pound cooked and diced chicken
- 1 ( 28 oz.) jar marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain. Mix pasta with cooked chicken and marinara sauce. Spread mixture out into a greased baking dish.
- Top with shredded mozzarella cheese, grated parmesan cheese, and dried oregano. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
