The cookie dough is made by mixing a box of white cake mix with eggs and vegetable oil until smooth. Then divide the dough into three bowls. Make one red, one blue, and leave one white. Mix chocolate chips into each bowl. Take a small amount of cookie dough from each bowl, and roll together. Roll each cookie into a mixture of granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Place the cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake until the cookies are fully cooked through.
Cake Mix Red, White and Blue Chocolate Chip Snickerdoodle Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 ( 15 oz.) box white cake mix
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- red and blue food coloring
- 1 cup chocolate chips, divided
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, mix together cake mix, eggs, and vegetable oil until smooth. In a shallow dish, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Divide the cookie dough into three bowls. Mix one with red food coloring and one with blue food coloring.
- Mix 1/3 cup chocolate chips into each bowl. Take a small amount of each cookie dough and roll into balls. Roll into the cinnamon sugar mixture. Place cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
