Cake Mix Red, White and Blue Chocolate Chip Cookies

Soft and chewy classic chocolate chip cookies made with a box of cake mix and made red, white and blue with food coloring. The cookies are also filled with chocolate chips. Everyone will love the soft and chewy texture of the cookies and fun summer colors.

The cookie dough is made by mixing a box of cake mix with eggs and vegetable oil until smooth. Divide the dough into three bowls and mix one with red food coloring and another with blue. Mix chocolate chips into each cookie dough. Take a small amount of dough from each bowl and roll together into balls. Place onto a large baking sheet and bake until the cookies are fully cooked through.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ( 15 oz.) box white cake mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • red and blue food coloring
  • 1 cup chocolate chips, divided

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, mix cake mix with eggs and vegetable oil until smooth. Divide the cookie dough into three bowls. Mix one with red food coloring and one with blue food coloring.
  • Mix chocolate chips into each cookie dough. Take a small amount of dough from each bowl and roll together. Place onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
