Soft and chewy chocolate brownies filled with delicious butterscotch baking chips. These easy chewy chocolate brownies make the perfect easy treat to bake for just about any holiday or occasion. Everyone will love the delicious flavors of chocolate and butterscotch.

The brownie batter is made like a classic brownie batter, except with the addition of butterscotch baking chips folded into the batter. Spread the mixture into a greased square baking dish. Bake until the center comes out clean with a toothpick. Let cool completely before cutting into bars and serving.

Butterscotch Brownies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup butterscotch baking chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda. Add in the eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Fold in the butterscotch baking chips. Evenly spread the batter into a greased 8-inch square baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
