Air-Fryer Chic-Fil-A Chicken Sandwich

Easy juicy and crispy chicken sandwiches that taste just like the ones you get from fast-food restaurants. The chicken is cooked in the air-fryer, giving it a delicious crispy coating, in less time than baking in the oven. Pickle juice and powdered sugar are added to give these sandwiches the traditional taste of a Chic-Fil-A chicken sandwich. Serve with a side of waffle fries for a delicious meal made at home.

The chicken will first need to flattened with a mallet. In a shallow dish, combine pickle juice with eggs and milk. Whisk flour, powdered sugar, and seasonings together in the other shallow dish. Coat the chicken first in the egg mixture, then coat fully in the flour mixture. Air-fry the chicken in batches for 15 minutes per batch, no need to flip. Serve on hamburger buns with pickle slices.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound chicken, flattened
  • 1/4 cup pickle juice
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 4 haamburger buns

Instructions
 

  • Preheat air-fryer to 400 F. In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, pickle juice, and milk. In another shallow dish, combine flour, powdered sugar, and seasonings.
  • Fully coat each chicken in the egg and pickle juice mixture, then fully coat in the flour mixture. Air-fry in batches for 12-15 minutes. Serve on hamburger buns.
