Air-Fryer Cajun Onion Rings

Crispy and delicious homemade onion rings with a spicy flavor from the Cajun seasoning. These easy crispy onion rings are cooked in the air-fryer. The air-fryer makes the onion rings crispy and crunchy, but without any of the oil. Everyone will love these crispy onion rings for any meal, such as on top of burgers, or as a delicious spicy appetizer served with your favorite dipping sauces.

The onion rings are sliced into large ring shapes, then coated in a mixture of egg and milk, then coated in a Cajun seasoned flour mixture, and dipped back into the egg. Then the onion rings are coated fully in breadcrumbs, and air-fried in batches until the onion rings are crispy and lightly golden browned.

Air-Fryer Cajun Onion Rings

Ingredients
  

  • 1 large onion
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the air-fryer to 400 F. Slice the onion into large rings. In a shallow dish, whisk egg and milk together. In another dish, whisk flour and seasoning together. Place the breadcrumbs into the last shallow dish.
  • Fully coat each onion ring into the egg mixture, then coat into the flour mixture, and back into the egg mixture. Coat fully in the breadcrumbs.
  • Place the onion rings into a large greased air-fryer basket. Air-fry in batches for 8-10 minutes.
