Air-Fryer Bagels

Sharing is caring!

Bagels make a great breakfast that you can serve in many different ways, such as with cream cheese or you can make it into a breakfast sandwich. Instead of these bagels being baked, they are cooked in the air-fryer. The air-fryer makes these bagels have a delicious crispy outside with a fluffy inside. Before air-frying, you can top these bagels with your favorite seasonings, such as poppy seeds, or an everything bagel seasoning. Or you can just leave them plain and serve them topped with cream cheese.

The dough for these bagels is made using a basic yeast dough. You can also make the dough ahead of time, by refrigerating the dough before rising. Then the next morning all you need to do is shape them into bagels, boil, and air-fry. After the dough has risen, divide the dough into smaller pieces and shape it into a bagel shape. To give the bagels the traditional bagel flavor, boil them in batches in a mixture of boiling water and baking soda. They only need to boil for about 20 seconds. Place bagels in batches into the air-fryer basket and cook until the tops are lightly browned. Serve with your favorite cream cheese spread.
