You only need five simple ingredients and less than 10 minutes to create this easy dip.All of the ingredients are pureed together in either a blender or in a food processor until a thick paste forms. You can thin the hummus out with some of the reserved chickpea liquid. Place in a serving bowl and serve with crackers or vegetables.
Homemade Hummus
Ingredients
- 1 ( 15 oz.) can chickpeas, drained
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
Instructions
- Drain chickpeas, reserving 1/4 cup liquid. Place all of the ingredients except for the chickpea liquid into a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth, adding in the liquid until desired consistency.
- Serve with vegetables or crackers.
