Delicious blueberry pie topped with sweet and buttery crumble. This blueberry pie makes the perfect summer time pie to enjoy for any occasion, such as the fourth of July. The blueberries have a delicious summer flavor, you can use either fresh or frozen fruit. You can top this sweet fruit pie with ice cream of whipped cream.
For the blueberry mixture, you can use either fresh or frozen blueberries for this pie. Mix the blueberries with sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice. Pour the blueberries into a lined pie dish. For the sweet buttery crumble topping, mix flour with brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter until crumbly. Sprinkle the crumble over the pie and bake until the topping is lightly browned.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 9-inch pie crust
  • 5 cups blueberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. Roll pie crust into a round 9-inch pie plate. In a medium bowl, combine blueberries, sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice.
  • Pour blueberry mixture into the pie crust. In a small bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter until crumbly.
  • Sprinkle crumble over pie. Bake for 50-55 minutes.
