Cake Mix Chocolate Chip Snickerdoodle Mummy Cookies

Soft and chewy chocolate chip snickerdoodle cookies made with a box of cake mix and decorated with white icing and candy eyes to make the cookies look like mummies. Everyone will love these soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies this Halloween season.

The cookie dough is made by mixing a box of cake mix with eggs and vegetable oil until smooth. Fold in the chocolate chips. Roll the cookie dough into balls and roll each one in a dish of granulated sugar. Place cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake until the cookies are fully cooked through. Remove from the oven and decorate with icing and candy eyes.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ( 15 oz.) box yellow cake mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • white icing
  • candy eyes

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, mix together cake mix, eggs, and vegetable oil until smooth. Fold in the chocolate chips. In a shallow dish, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  • Roll cookie dough into balls and roll in a the cinnamon sugar mixture. Place cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove from the oven and decorate with icing and candy eyes.
