Chocolate Chip Buttercream Truffles

Creamy and delicious homemade buttercream truffles filled with chocolate chips, and covered in melted chocolate. All you need for these easy truffles is five simple ingredients, and no baking is needed to make them. Everyone will love these easy creamy truffles for any holiday or occasion.

The only ingredients that you need for these truffles is butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, chocolate chips, and a bag of chocolate chips. Mix the butter with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until combined. Fold 1/2 cup chocolate chips into the mixture. Roll the buttercream mixture into balls, and place them onto a large plate. Freeze the truffles while you melt the chocolate. Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave until it is fully melted and smooth. Fully coat each truffle into the melted chocolate. Set them onto a large plate, and let them sit until the chocolate has completely set.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3-4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 12 oz. chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, mix the butter with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Roll the mixture into balls, and place onto a large plate. Freeze for at least 20 minutes. Place the chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well until it is fully melted and smooth.
  • Fully coat each truffle into the melted chocolate. Set onto a large plate, and let sit until the chocolate has completely set.
