Pumpkin Pie Dump Cake

Quick and easy pumpkin pie cake using a box of cake mix. This sweet and delicious cake has all of the classic flavors of a pumpkin pie, baked with a buttery cake on top. This cake makes the perfect dessert to make this fall or even as Thanksgiving dinner dessert. Everyone will love the creamy pumpkin filling with the buttery cake mix on top.

It is so easy to make this dump cake, the filling is made similar to a pumpkin pie filling. It is then poured into a greased baking dish. Then dry cake mix is evenly spread out on top of the filling. Add slices of butter on top of the cake mix and bake until the center comes out clean with a toothpick.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ( 15 oz.) can pumpkin puree
  • 1 ( 12 oz.) can evaporated milk
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 ( 15 oz.) box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, sliced

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, combine pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice.
  • Pour the batter into a large greased baking dish. Sprinkle with cake mix and place sliced butter on top. Bake for 50-55 minutes.
