Soft and chewy classic oatmeal raisin cookies topped off with a chocolate kiss. These cookies combines a classic oatmeal raisin with a classic blossom cookie. The chocolate flavor of the kiss goes perfectly with the flavor of the oatmeal and the raisins. These cookies make a fun twist on a classic cookie that everyone loves.

The cookie dough for these cookies is made like a classic oatmeal cookie dough, with the addition of raisins to the dough. The cookie dough is rolled into balls, and placed onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake until they are fully cooked through. Remove the cookies from the oven, and place one chocolate kiss on each cookie. Let cool completely on a cooling rack before serving.

Oatmeal Raisin Blossom Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups quick oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup raisins
  • chocolate kisses

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, oats, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, combine butter with sugar until fluffy.
  • Add in egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture, and mix until it is fully combined. Fold in the raisins.
  • Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place them onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove from the oven and top each cookie with one chocolate kiss.
