Sweet and delicious mints covered in chocolate. These homemade junior mints are so easy to make, and they taste just like the store bought candy. They are made similar to a mini peppermint patty. Make these treats for Christmas gifts or as a fun no bake treat to make with your family. You can also freeze these candies and store them in the freezer until you are ready to serve them.

The filling for these mints are made by creaming softened butter and cream cheese together. Then adding powdered sugar and peppermint extract to the mixture until a thick dough forms. Roll the mixture into small balls and set onto plates. Refrigerate until set. Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 second interval, stirring until melted and smooth. Dip each mint into the chocolate and set back onto plates. Refrigerate until the chocolate has completely set. Store in an air-tight container in the fridge or freezer until serving.
