These cookies are made similar to a classic shortbread with dried cherries, cherry juice, and white chocolate chips added to the cookie dough. All rolled into powdered sugar. The cookie dough is made similar to a classic shortbread cookie dough, except that cherry juice is added and dried cherries along with white chocolate chips are folded into the cookie dough. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place them onto a large ungreased baking sheet. Bake until the bottoms of the cookies are lightly browned. Roll the cookies in a dish of powdered sugar.
White Chocolate Chip Cherry Snowball Cookies
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons cherry juice
- 1/2 cup dried cherries
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, combine butter with powdered sugar until fluffy. Add in vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
- Add in flour and cherry juice, and mix until combined. Fold in the dried cherries and white chocolate chips.
- Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place onto a large ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Place the remaining powdered sugar into a shallow dish. Roll the baked cookies into the powdered sugar.
