Soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies for St. Patrick’s day. These easy cookies are rolled in green colored sanding sugar. They are filled with all of your classic chocolate chip cookie flavors, with a fun St. Patrick’s day themed twist. They are perfect to bake this St. Patrick’s day for a fun and easy treat that everyone will love.

The cookie dough is started out like a classic chocolate chip cookie dough, then it is rolled into balls, and each one is rolled into a dish of green sanding sugar. Place the cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake until the cookies are fully cooked through.

St. Patrick's Day Sprinkle Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup green colored sugar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, combine butter with both granulated and brown sugar until fluffy.
  • Add in the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until it is smooth. Add in the flour mixture, mix until it is fully combined. Fold in the chocolate chips. Place the green sugar into a shallow dish.
  • Roll the cookie dough into balls, and roll each one into the sugar. Place the cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
